Renting a motorcycle in Pokhara is simple, but a few minutes of care at pickup saves a lot of trouble later. Here is what we walk through with riders at our shop in Hallanchowk.
Match the bike to the route, not the photo
A big adventure bike is the right tool for Mustang and the wrong tool for a lakeside afternoon. Decide your route first, then pick the bike.
- Valley and town riding: a light street bike is easier and cheaper.
- Hill roads and gravel: a light dual-sport.
- Multi-day mountain routes: an adventure bike with real suspension travel.
Check the bike before you leave
Do this with the shop, not alone. It protects both sides.
- Brakes, front and rear, at walking pace before you leave the street.
- Tyre condition and pressure.
- Lights, horn and indicators.
- Chain tension and lubrication.
- Existing scratches or damage — photograph them.
Agree the details in plain language
Rate, deposit, fuel policy, return time and what happens if something breaks on the road. Ask us to state each one clearly before you sign anything.
